The Renown arrived this af tenuwa. and was escorted into the harbour-by the First Destroyer Flotilla and a fleet of aeroplanes. All the warships were gaily dressed and fired a Royal salute. Crowds of Maltese lined the battlements and acclaimed the arrival of-the Royal ship with hand-clapping and cheering. V ■* b ■

After numerous official calls Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess o± L,ork landed and proceeded through decorated streets to the Palace of Valetta, where an investiture was held. Later, they drove to San Antonio, the Governor's country residence, where they are staying the night. ;
