RUGBY DIFFERENCES
APPEAL TO NEW ZEALAND

The suggested curtailment of the New Zealand •_ Rugby tour ■ to' twenty-one matches and thvee Tests has caused widespread disappointment throughout South Africa, particularly ia the small centres, which are all eager to join in the national welcome to the All Blacks.
It is understood that the South African Board is most anxious to meet the views of the visitors, tut feels that local conditions make the departure of the New Zealanders on 16th June from Australia too late, as it would bring the tout into the hot weather. They feel that New Zealand would pay a great compliment, if it would trust the South African Board regarding the arrangements for the visit, which is; regarded more from tho Imperial aspect lihan, as to actual Tesulte. - '.'.'..
