Excess exports ... £8,426^754 £4,500,038 The returns show that for the first five months of the current; year, an compared with the January-May period of 1928, th<« imports have been reduced by, £2;437,734 —say, by two millions and a quarter; and J?^<, c?ports have been increased by £1,488,982-say, a million and a half.
