Association has decided to'organise a deputation to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture protesting against the farmers being compelled to eradicate hawthorn hedges and prevent the spread of fireblight. The speakers contended that the farmers had enough hardships to contend with without having to go to the expense of destroying hedges.
