Hoare. At a meeting of the No. 2 Society the secretary reported that a shareholder had repaid all mortgage moneys, and it was regolv.ad that the release be sealed. Two bankruptcies were recorded in the Wairarapa last month. - ■■■ The Masterton branch of the Women's Division of the New Zealand Fanners' Union has appointed Miss Blackie as bush nurse. Miss Blackie will commence her duties on 20th June. ,
At a meeting of the No. 10 (Waifarapa) district Highways Council, the draft estimates were discussed and forwarded to the Mam Highway* Board for approval It was decided to recommend that the Dreyers Rock and Wertmere roads and a road between Otaraia and Martinborough. be declared district > highways. -At the statutory meeting,of the council-Mr W I Armstrong was re-elected chairman, and Messrs. O> Donald, S.Bolton, and. Armstrong were elected on executive council.
