The criminal sessions.of the Supreme Court opened^ to-day before his Honour Mr.' Justice Alpers. Isaac Goldsmith. In his charge to the Grand Jury his Honour said that he was able to con- j gratulate the district upon a compara-. j tively short calendar of crime. Al-j though! two .of the indictments were very serious, there were only five, or six j indictments altogether, and none should give the jury concern. His Honour referred to two sexual indictments, and dealt^t length with.the circumstances ~ of' the j alleged offences. The other mat: terb .related to dishonesty.
