"THE FIFTH GOSPEL"

ALLEGED DISCOVERY A JEOAX

(Sydney Sun Cable.) . (Received 17th March, 1 p.m.) LONDON, 16th March. The "Daily News" Home correspondent states that the Minister of Education announces on the strength of the reports of experts, to whom Siglur Mussolini submitted it, that the re-cently-reported discovery of the 80----c.illed "Fifth Gospel" is a hoax. The book is merely the clumsy imitation of an old manuscript. The alleged copy of the Fifth Gospel was found at Cerignola, in the province of Foggia. It contained 31 manuscripts ostensibly written by Joseph of Jerusalem, and concluded with an account of the Emperor Titus sacking the Holy City.
