THE DANIELS MYSTERY
LATEST THEORY OF DEATH
(United Press Association.— Copyright.) LONDON, 16th March.
The latest theory of the Boulogno mystery is that May Daniels did not die on the spot where the body was found, but at a house at Boulogne, that the body was afterwards taken to the Napoleon column, probably in a motorcar, and that the broken hyperdermic syringe was -placed nearby as a blind. It is also regarded as significant that her umbrella was placed beside her the wrong : way round, the handle being downwards, a position in which no woman is likely to leave an umbrella. It is further reported that tho French police do not believe that she was ever lost. They believe that she left Nurse M'Carthy for the purpose of keeping an appointment, of which Nurso M'Carthy was ignorant, with an Englishman, whose identity is stated to be suspected.
