It is officially announced from Jerusalem that the new Palestine currency will appear this year on the basis of a deeimai division of tho English pound sterling. The Palestine pound, which will be equivalent to the £1 sterling, ,will be divided into one thousand mils. Coins will bear only an olive wreath or sprig, and the denomination in English and Arabic, but tho notes " will bear pictorial decoration also. An interesting feature of the coins themselves will be that they are beaded in imitation of ancient currencies.
