AMERICA'S INITIATIVE
LONDON, 10th March. Mr. Baldwin, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said that in view of the United States-initiative in connection with the disarmament question Britain must await the replies of other Powers to President Coolidge before taking action. Garro-Jones (Lib.) asked: "Must the initiative always rest with the United States? Cannot you take some initiative?"
Mr. Baldwin said that there .might be several initiatives, but the first rested with the United States till a conference was summoned.
