POLISH BANKS.
The following dispatch has been received by the Sydney Consulate-General for the Republic of Poland:—"On Ist January about twenty banks and credit institutions in Poland will be forced to liquidate an the result of the enforcement on 3Ut December of the decree fixing the minimum initial capital, which by the banking decree of 1024 was placed at one million zlotys." The pal 1 value of the doty is 25.22y 2 to the £1 sterling.
