After another protracted debate on the Civic Square proposals, the Auckland City Council last evening rejected tlio report of tho Stilmain Commission, and the situation is now as it w»3 before the Commission commenced its inquiry. The council was unable to reach a decision as to what should be done with the site, "everal motions and amendments concerning its disposal were rejected.
