A BUILDER'S FAILURE.
A meeting of creditors -of Frederick James Brattle, builder and painter, was held before Mr. S. Tansley, the Official Assignee, to-day. The bankrupt was represented by Miss Hinemoa Hopkins. On the bankrupt's statement, total debts were shown as £1113. and: the-, assets as £1171, but on examination information was elicited tending to show that there was a deficiency. Lack of sufficient money j at the beginning of his 'operations was ! tiie reason the bankrupt gave for his failure. - The"principal creditors were the Wingate Concrete Block Company £283, Rough and Company £187, and John Chambers and Son £160.. ■"• ■■■'.■.."•- After discussion it was resolved .that matters be left in Ihe hands of the Offi-~ cial Assignee. : . .
