TO WASH STOCKINGS

The correct way to wash stockings is to havo two basins, one containing warm ana one tepid water. Slip the stockings over the.left hand and wash well.in the warm water, in which soap flakes have beon dissolved until a creamy lather is formed. Give special attention to t'.ie foot. Then place the stocking immediately in the tepid water and rinse it thoroughly. Wring it in a soft towel and hang it up to dry by the hem, always lotting it hang full length. Then wash the other stocking. Always wash stockings separately. A tablo spoon of vinegar in the rinsing water will-give a special gloss to the silk.
