OLD NAVALS

The Old Navals' Defence Rifle Club held a field day at Trentham on Saturday, and a good muster, of members, with then- wives and families, spent a -most enjoyable day, the ladles being keenly'lnterested ,in the shooting. The programme was for the final shoot In the championship and the Hugo Cup, and also a special series. Rflmn. E. Franklyn, who has been ■ shooting up to his best form during the season, won the championship, with 508 points, closely' followed by Dep.-Pres. Goldflnch, 507. points. Rflmn. Kelly, who Is now a member this season, was third, 501 points. For .the Huso Cup Dep.-Prcg. M'Baln and Rflmn. E. Franklyn, with 252' points, tie, and will shoot off at an early" date. Rflmn. C.
