Police and summons cases were dealt with m the Magistrate's Court to-day by Mr: E. Page, S.M. For .her second offience of drunkenness, Florence Emma Emeny, a domestic, who had been in custody for a week'for treat-- "*">£. was convicted and discharged. John Joseph Kelly, who procured liquor I while he wa| -prohibited, was fined £1. Failure to close their shops at:the proper, hour coat Radford and Co. £2, and Mrs. M. Bayes £1. , Charged with the theft of a motor-car worth £375, belonging to George Alley, William Victor Alley, aged 23, was remanded to appear next Wednesday. Bail: of £300 and "one surety 'of £300 was allowed. ' .vi Bertram Guy Randall, a clerk, who'yesterday: pleaded guilty to having obtained £5 from Frederick Felix Green by means of falae, pretences, was admitted to twelve months ' and was ordered to refund the money at the' rate of lOg'a" week. ■ ■■■ ; • .
A penalty of £2 was imposed on Dala Bawa, a Hindu, for having cruelly illtreated a. horse.
A charge against William Allison, barman, of the Princess HoteV. of supplying liquor after hours, wag dismissed, and a charge against the licensee, John Patrick Boyle, of selling liquor after-hours, was also dismissed. Both charges arose out of the same set of circumstances.
Failure to close his shop at the proper time cost Victor Brownson £2.
One first-offender for drunkenness was convicted and discharged by Mr. H. Seaton, J.P., in the Mount Cook Police Court to-day. ■' ■■■■'■
