TOWN DECORATIONS

(Special to "The Evening Post.") PALMEBSTON" N., This Day. The scheme of town decoration submitted by the organiser (Mr. H E Bennett) for the jubilee festivals and the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York has been approved by the executive, and is to take the form of strings of coloured electric lights across the streets, festoons of coloured lights in the Square gardens, while thousands of flags and coloured bunting will be displayed over the same area. The bunting is to be in the Duke's colours— scarlet and gold—and their arrangement will be in the hands of experienced decorators.
