Henri Spahlinger has entered into a controversy with a'; letter.-.."'to the "Daily Expross" from Geneva, in. which ho. says: "I Jiavo given, up my; life to this work, and the lives of oth> ■ ers dear to me have been similarly devoted. If my achievements aro to bo so.easily discredited, I should be glad to burn my secret and return to the. Bar, for which I am fully qualified, and lead for the first time in fifteen years a life owning an ordinary man's sharo of sunshine." The "Express" editorially refers to tho statement as a threat, adding: "If M. Spahlinger has discovered a method of defeating a scourge, then, however tired and discouraged he may bo,- it is both his duty and privilege to give it to the world."
