"IS ZAT SO?"

The box plan for the."ls Zat So?" sea§sori opened this morning at The Bristol, and the company arrive per the Ulimaroa from Sydney to-day, where they have had a wonderfully successful season. They opened there at the Palace Theatre, but this'house was not large enough to accommodate the crowds who endeavoured to get in,, and the piece was transferred to the Criterion Theatre. It is seldom that -New Zealanders have a chance o£ seeing an original production with practically the whole of the members of the original cast. However, J. C. Williamson, Ltd., have on this occasion sent over the entire production as produced in New York. ' Is Zat So?" has been termed the greatest laughing success of the century, and it is somewhat different from the usual run of comedies. There is a real plot, three pairs of lovers, and a few thrills. The twp leading characters.are. played by Hale Norcross'and Richard Taber, who is part author of the piece. There is some beautiful scenery, and the mounting of ■ the piece is o£ a high order. On account of the number of attractions coming to New Zealand seven nights only can be allowed for this comedy in Wellington. Judging from its advance reports crowded houses should be the rule throughout the season.
