DANGEROUS CORNER
SUGGESTION AT INQUEST.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMEBSTON N., This Day. At the coronial inquiry at Shannon regarding the death of Boy Victor Bloomficld, the evidence showed that the deceased asked the driver of the car, Mr. Lavin, of Wellington, to give him ;i lift to Levin. When on the Main .South road, while endeavouring to avoid another car, Mr. Lavin's car kept too close to the side of the road. The wheels skidded, and despite the driver's effort to recover, the car overbalanced down the steep bank. Bloomfield was so seriously injured that he died within a short time. The coronial verdict was that the deceased was accidentally killed and that no blame was attachable to anyone. A rider was added to the effect that the corner whore the accident occurred waß dangerous and that the Main Highways Board or the County Council should take steps to jnake itß^fecj _ 4 .,, _„,„!,_, ._i\. ; ..._.....
