AN UNPROMISING OUTLOOK.

Dull and misty weather has prevailed over tho Dominion, with rain in most parts. Pressure has shown a decreasing tendency, and easterly to northerly breezes have predominated. The barometer is likely to fall further, and skies may be expected to continue cloudy to overcast, with rain probable generally. Northerly breezes are predicted northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and easterly winds veering to southerlies elsewhere.

At Wanganui this morning, .25 inches of rain was recorded, .23 inches at Westport, and .10 inches at Greymouth. Yesterday 6.44 inches of rain Vfero reported from Tairua.
