MAKARA COUNCIL
The monthly meeting of the Makara County Council was held to-day. Councillor E. Wiiidley presided, and Councillors L. C. Bryant, E. G. Mexted, D. Prosser, H. J. Monaghan, M. S. G. Monk, E. W. Botharnley, and Dunbar Sloane were present. The ranger (Mr. J. B. Piper) was appointed Eegistrar of Dogs, and the annual registration, fee was fixed at 2s 6d per annum for sheep, * cattle, and rabbit dogs. It was decided to co-operate with other local boaios in the preparation and presentation of :/ address of loyalty and welcome to the Duke and Duchess of York.
