AUCKLAND, This Day. After a perfect trip from Sydney the Marama dropped anchor down the harbour this morning and hoisted a red flag signal, which is rarely flown by a passenger steamer on arrival.

The cause of the trouble was chickenpox in a, mild form, developed by an officer. After the port health, doctor had come ashore the Medical Officer of Health for the Auckland district went Aboard. The patient had received attention on the run across, and the steamer was granted pratique.
