The engineer in.. charge of waterworks and drainage, Mr. J. M. Morice, would iif the ordinary course of evonts have retired from office on superannuation during the prosent month, but a request has been made by the new City Engineer, Mr. Gr. A. Hart, that he should continuo in office until the end of March, in order that ho (Mr. Hart) may obtain a full knowledge of the working of the city's water supply system.
