(United Press Association. —Copyright.) (Eeceived 30th November, 10 a.m.^ HOME, 29th November.
Experts are intrigued at the nature of super-liners, tho first mention of which was made by Signor Mussolini in an interview. They are building at Genoa, and will bo between 35,000 and 40,000 tons displacement. The liners have a secret device for increasing speed to 40 knots, the invention of an Italian naval officer. Some believe it consists of a belt of thin steel with a ball-bearing device for greatly diminishing tho impact of tho waves. Moreover, it is stated that they may carry propellors amidships. This is regarded-as one of Italy'■ most sensational efforts under Signor Mussolini's active impulse aiming primarily at the capture of the Mediterranean passenger service, and being also a direct challengo at England's transAtlantic! trade.
