BOY'S BRAVERY
RESCUES BROTHERS FROM BURNING HOUSE
IN FACE OF BLINDING SMOKE.
(By Telegraph.—Pre» Association.) GIBBORNE, 21at November. A six roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr. W. V. Piesse, was damaged by flro last evening. The only occupants at the time were four children, aged respectively fifteen, six, and two years, and a seven-month-old baby, the mother and father being absent at the time. The eldest lad was awakened by smoke and flames in the back portion of the house, and hurriedly thrust his six-year-old brother out of the front door. Then he dashed back for the two-year-old brother and placed him outside also. Then the lad rushed back into the blinding smoke for the baby, but was overtaken by firemen, who handed the infant out of a window. The brigade made a good save, only the kitchen and dining-room being badly damaged. The fire originated in the hot water cupboard. The house was insured for £700 and the furniture for £200 in tho Alliance Assurance Company.
