WINTRY SPELL
AN IMPROVEMENT SHORTLY.
Strong westerly winds backing to the south brought changeable and • unsettled weather with a fairly general rainfall, the conditions being decidedly colder. Barometric pressure is increasing, and is likely to continue so doing, but after about 36 hours a decided-fair may be expected with winds veering by west to north. In the meantime cold and showery weather may be expected, although there are indications for a temporary improvement. ;
