LONDON, 12th November.
The Paris correspondent of "The Times" says tliat the newspapers are perturbed at the latest German military manual which reminds officers that the Eeichswehr is the successor of the old army, and that therefore its duty is to reconquer Germany's lost provinces; The newspapers point outthat the manual was published since the Locarno Conference, when Germany resigned her claims to Alsace and Lorraine. The French Government complained to Dr. Stresemann, who replied that the manual was issued without the knowledge of Cabinet, which had ordered its immediate suppression. "Pertinax," in the "Echo de Paris," now assorts that the manual is still obtainable in. Berlin bookshops.
"The Times" correspondent holds that Dr. Stresemann is honestly working for peace, but finds a difficulty in getting his subordinates to execute orders.
