ESSENTIAL TO OUTEB STJBTISBS
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Ptwt")
AUCKLAND, This D»y. The complaint that the bus services to the outer suburban districts, formerly run by private companies and recently taken over by the City Council, were not satisfactory, were made by several speakers at the conference of local bodies last evening. Many working men had made homes in. these outlying areas, and, unless they could be assured of adequate transport, they would be compelled to come back into the nearer snburbs. The Mayor promised to place the representations before the tramway officers responsible.
