CONCLUDING DAY
% MANAWATU SHOW.

PALMERSTON N., This Day.
The weather is fine for the concluding day of tho Manawatu Show, and with another half-holiday in tho town the attendance is good. Most of the judging was completed yesterday, and the ring events are the feature of today's proceedings. A grand parade of cattle was held this afternoon. An interested visitor to the show to-day was the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. E. V. Bollard.
So far the gate receipts are below those of last year, the figures for the first two days being £436 as against :£6lO.
In the special pig class Mr. J. B. .Young (Kauwhata) won the award for the pig most suitable for bacon, and Mr. 'N. P. Neilsen (Tiakitahuna.) exhibited i the pig most suitable for pork. The i judge (Mr. H. Stuart) said that New ■Zealand lad a fine chance of establishing a connection on the London pig market. The ideal animal for export ; was between 140 to 160 pounds. It was pointed out that last year New Zealand only £15O",OOO worth of pork and bacon.
