JOURNEY OF DEAD
TUTANKHAMEN RELICS
FRESH DISCOVERIES IN TOMB
THE EGYPTIAN AFTER-LIFE,
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 3rd November, 11 a.m.) CAIRO, 2nd November. The discoveries in the third chamber of Tutankhamen's tomb are of great historical interest. They represent everything used in the funeral. They include thirty small boats of two sorts. The first was used in the body's journey from Luxor across the Nile aud the others were intended to transport the body to Heaven. There is also a box of small statues with Tutankhamen's head oh a bird's body, giving tho Egyptian conception of the after-life. Two chariots, lacking ornateness, were found. It is supposed they were used in hunting. They arc the first of their kind discovered.
