DRUG ADDICT
SENT BACK TO ROTO ROA ISLAND.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 2nd: Nov. Described as a victim of drugs, Charles Marshall Fyfe (aged 46), who arrived from Sydney in custody to-day, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court this afternoon to a charge of escaping from the Roto Roa Island reformatory institution on 25th February, Accused had been deported from New South Wales. Chief-Detective Cummingß said that Fyfe escaped from the island on 25th February. He had been committed for a term of two years, and managed to get away to Sydney. It was suggested that as accused's term had not yet expired he should be sent back to the island. The Magistrate (Mr. E. C. Cutten) made an order for accused to return.
