THE MAIDSTONE KENNELS, Palmerston North.
"Mr.'J. Prentice, owner of the Maidstone Kennels in Boundary road, Palimerston North, is a most enthusiastic supporter of the Kennel Club's Dog Show,'which is held in conjunction with the Manawatu A. and P. Association's present Show. For twenty years or more-Mr. Prentice has given some attention to breeding smooth-coated fox terriers, and anyone who cares to visit his fine home and inspect the hundred and one handsome cups and trophies he has. won in his time would be more than convinced that he knew something about the business. J4|r, Prentice is regarded as the winner'of more trophies than any other dog fancier in the Dominion, and when you inspect his handsome little warriors in the way of foxies you can quite understand how it is he has scored so heavily. The foundation of the Maidstone Kennels comes from Mrs. Losco Bradley's famous kennels in Nottinghamshire. These are the recognised leading English kennels. At the present Show Mr. Prentice has a terrier bitch with pups named MisS Driver, ;by Jack the Driver; the latter is the only sire standing at the stud in Engr land that is an out cross entirely -without Oxonian blood. It is therefore considered that Mr. Prentice's bitch should be an outcross for any dog in Now Zealand.
All Mr. Prentice's Btock are of the highest class English bred imported, and if you or your friends are inter-ested-in smooth-coated fox terriers just inspect his Show exhibit, and ask yourself if there is anything in the country to beat them.
