SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

Yesterday's concert at the Sailors' Friend Society was given by Miss Jean Turner's Band, many s encores being given. Those who gave, solos were Misses I. Stanton, Maris, M'Clymac, Messrs. Bell, Goer, Brooker, Sloane, and Darbyshire. Miss Casey was at the piano. Mr. James Moore, missioner, took for his temperance subject,. "The Press, not Wowserism.'' The competitions prizes- came from Hawkes Bay, and went to ships in port.
