MISS KATHLEEN O'BRIEN.
When the curtain rises at the Grand Opera House next Tuesday on the annual stace production by Miss Kathleen O'Brien, the well-known teacher of dancing, a packed house is assured. Several dance scenas, all of them gorgeously dressed and set to good music, are interspersed with charming songs. The play itself, which is a Chinese legend entitled "The Singing Soul," has an unusual plot and a strong cast headed by Misses Edna Purdy, -Nelle -Doull, Heni Smith, Messrs. Lionel. Inch, Joe Elliott, Noel. Hanlon, and Clarence Poppleton. The frocking is particularly artistic, the ballets charmingly quaint, and' the singing tuneful. The play itself will be preceded by a varied programme of ballet divertissement.. The usual ten minutes' peep at the baby class will be given. Soloists include Misses Banks, Linklater^Morgan, Ward,. Martin, Raine, Vause,' Swanson,. Bartholomew, Daniells, Penman,. Hare, Scott, Fisher, Smith, Lockwood, Sellars, and M'Namara. The box plan is at The Bristol.
