DELIVERY OF COAL

ADOPTION OF SMALLEB BAGS.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

DUNEDIN, This' Day.

The new regulations relating to the retail sale of coal,, proposed to be brought into operation by the Government from Ist January next, are causing unfavourable comment. It has been pointed out that the: adoption of tho smaller bags required under regulations will involve a greater cost of filling, and it will probably take more time to deliver the coal than in the bags now in use. It seema certain that there will, therefore, be art. increase in the price. The general opinion is that matters should be left as they are, as the public now have adequate protection.
