The Government sold an industrial sito to a locally formed company, N.Z. Standard Porcelains, Ltd., and alongside ttiu General Motors site; and later sold another site to Metiers, Ltd. (N. 55.), an offshoot of the Metiers Company, which carries on in Australia a In;; business in stove-malting, etc. The prospect of competition in tlu local establishment of this new and important industry has lio-.v bcon removed by a merger of the two companies— y,.Z. Standard Porcelain;!, Ltd., and Jltttcra, Ltd. It Is understood that the mer-
