LONDON FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
The Bank of Now Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office under date. 28th October:—
"Frozen Meat.—Both wether and ewe mutton is in poor demand. The market for lamb is dull with a downward tendency. Beef is quiet and unchanged. Trade generally is slow owing to heavy supplies of fresh meat. Wethers, light, D^d to 6/.d per lb; wethers, heavy, 5d to sfd per lb; ewes, 3M to 4Jd per lb; lambs, 2's, fli/id to lOd; lambs, S'a, By>d to 9d; lambs, 4's, 7>-id to 7?id; lambs, seconds, g'M to 9M>d; lambs, Australian (new seasons), Od to Kid; ox, hinds, M to BJd; ox, fores, %l to 33d; cow, hinds, -Id to 4V'jd; cow, fores, 2>,£d to 3d."
