CHKISTCHUitCH, This Day. Yesterday, the Motor Omnibus Traffic Act, passed last session, came into force, but as far as the No. 10 district, for which the Christchuieh City Council is the licensing authority, is concerned the bus services now running will continue as usual, until the applications for the issue of licenses under the Act are considered at a special meeting of the Bylaws Committee of the council on Thursday next. The committee will make recommendations to the City Council, which jj/ill finally decide tho matte/. The delay in dealing with the applications for licenses is due to the late arrival of the regulations issued under the Act. These came to hand only last week.
