The annual report of the Commission" er of State Enterprises discloses a heavy deficit in respect of the operation, of State stations. Tho loss during the past financial year was £152,545. Pro-fit-making State enterprises were butch, ers' shops; £563; produce agency, £,1521; railway refreshment looms, £15,256; hotel, £3939; fish supply/ £473; cannery, £287. • # Tho report states that the heavy deficit incurred by the State stations, together with tho payment of £10,000 out of the profits of refreshment looms to tho Consolidated Revenue, was responsible for the conversion of a credit balance of £107,542 .on 30th June, 1925, into a debit at 3Qth June last of, £32,959.
