It was decided that, as the output '.vas estimated at only 65,000 gallons, 20,000 bo allocated to customers other than local bodies, 12,000 gallons to1 the Pctone Borough, and the balance to the Lower Hutt Borough. ' The gasworks manager, Mr. H. Appleyard, reported that 543 tons of coal had_ hecu carbonised, making 6,587,600 cubic feet of gas, being an average make of 12,130 cubic feet per ton and an increased make over September, 1925, of 718,700 cubic feet. He stated that 147 tons of coke ami 3718 gallons of tar had been sold, HI new services had been laid, and 45 conkers installed. Tlie manager submitted charts showing- the gas pressure at various hours and places in Lower Hutt. Tin; record showed that, even in outlyiug districts, the pressure was more than ample.
