(From Our Own Correspondent.) NELSON, 16th September. Between 5 and 0 a.m. thia morning a heavy fall of snow occurred, and the hills surrounding the city and those bordering the Waiineas were covered to a low level. A light fall followed on the Waimea plains. Snow and sleet fell'in the city area at about 4 p.m.. but did not last long. The weather, which was somewhat boisterous all day, considerably improved towards evening, but the atmosphere continues to be bitingly cold. At a meeting of creditors in a bankrupt estate this morning the Oilicial Assignee, Mr. V. -ditched, who has recently been appointed to the position, ached the meeting to express an opinion as to whether a list of the creditors in any bankrupt estate should be available for publication. Mr. Frank (representing Buxton and Co.) said it had been the custom for quite a numbers of years. Others present agreed that it was desirable that the public !.ho;d.l know what was going on. and it was lvEolvcd that tlie custom hitherto prevailing should continue.
