CLAY PIGEON SHOOT
There was a muster of nineteen members for the Hutt Valley Gun Club's pigeon shoot on Saturday. A strong northerly wind was blowing, and made accurate shooting difficult. The contest was won by S. Edwards with 19 breaks out of 21 off the 19-yard mark. J. M. Pearson was second with 16 breaks off the 14-yard mark, and with 15 breaks each off 14 yards, Brasell, Moore, Donovan, and Witcombe tied for thirdplace. The second shoot of nine birds was won by W. Donovan with the possible off 18 yards. Cave was second with 8 breaks off 19 yards.
