NEW PLYMOUTH, Bth September. After a lapse of five years since the alleged commission of an offence, and the issue of a warrant, an old man named James Ross appeared in the Magistrate 'a Court to-day on a charge of breaking, entering, and stealing iron and tools from a blacksmith's shop at Aivakino. The goods wera valued at £9 10s. Accused could iiot be located by the police until he was arrested at Kawhia last month. He reserved his defence, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
