NEW YORK, 25th August.
Because of disorder and rioting for two days, the public will be barred, after midnight on Wednesday from viewing tho body of Rudolph Valentino, announced George TJllman, Valentino'• manager, when he arrived at the undertaker's, to find a mob of 20,000 struggling with- the police in an effort to get into the building. "This lias gone far enough," he said. "The lack of reverence shown by the crowds and the disorder and rioting forced me to. the decision. At midnight the doors will be closed to the public, and the body placed in a vault at the church until Monday, and viewed only by friend* and associates." '
Mr. TJllman said that there would be^' no great funeral cortege on Monday, only a hearse bearing the casket, and one or two automobiles to carry intimate friends. In fear of a possible outbreak bet . eon Fascists and anti-Fas-cists, the police were augmented at Valentino's undertakers, where a Fascist guard of honour is stationed, i£ .face of anti-Fascist protests.
