KING'S THEATRE.
Joe Brown, Sal Gratton, and the rest of the quaint coster characters of "My Old Dutch" will come to life and live over their romantic story at the King's Theatre, where the 1926 Universal-Jewel feature, founded on the famous song anil stage play of the same name, is showing this evening for the first time. It has been translated to the screen by, Lawrence Trimble, tho director, with a remarkable all-star cast, headed by May M'Avoy, Pat O'Malley, Cnllen Landis, and Jean Hersholt, and is one of tho remarkable pictures of! the year. The story, an epic of forty years of married life, literally re-lives the lives of a devoted couple about whom the story centres, and their son, for whom they sacrifice everything life holds for them except their own steadfast love for each other. There are thrills—a sensational light, a remarkable race, but these are all settings, incidental to the central theme of a love that is poetically beautiful. May MAvoy and Pat O'Malley play the couple whose lives form the central motive, and Cullon Landis is seen as their son. Other clever artists are in the cast. A special programme oi' incidental music is to be a feature of the entcrt;; ■ ;ncnt, rendered by the King s Select Orchestra, under Mr. A. H. Jerome. Gazette and comedy comprise the supports. The bos plan is at The Bristol until 5.30 daily (12 o'clock on Saturday), and after at the theatre.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. ''Stop Your Nonsense" is Elton Black's .wimble revue at His Majesty's Theatre this week. The production is probably the best that the company has yet staged, and there is mirth, music, song, and dancing m plenty. In the programme are -Lorua, Lance, and Co., four talented juvenile entertainers; Frank Foster and Robert Needham, in vocal duets: Harry North, 'the concertina swaggie," and Hastings and Adair, in English musical and comedy hits.
