QUEEN'S THEATRE.

Showing for a season of one week only at the Queen's Theatre, "Siberia," the Fox attraction extraordinary, opeua this evening. It is stated that no extension of season is possible owing to heavy outside bookiugs. In addition to to-morrow's usual matinee tbore is to be a special matinee performance next Wednesday afternoon at 2.30, a fixture that is being held in order to moderate the heavy nightly pressure. It. is reported to have taken over two years in the making, at a total cost of over £200,000. "Siberia" constitutes the peak of perfection" in dramatic thrills, being an adaptation o£ Bartley Campbell's soul-stirring bile o£ love, adventure, and intrigue in.' darkest Russia. A huge cast of over twenty stars and a supporting ensemble running into thousands enact the varied roles, Alma Rubcus, Lou Tcllcgcn, Edmund Lowe, and Tom Santschi being the most prominent names. More than.a score of wolves were used in the scene showing the hero and heroine battling for freedom on the white wastes of Siberia. A special prologue is to be given by the distinguished Sydney dancer, Miss Rene Mascotte-Taylor, who will be f *oeu in a characteristic Russian dance. The supporting and musical programmes are stated to be exceptional. There is to be no increase in prices, but the "free list'- is suspended. Box plans are available at The Bristol until 5.30 daily (12 o'clock on Saturday), after at the theatre.
