WORK OF THE R.S.A.
At the monthly meeting of the executive of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association, Colonel G. T. Hall (president) in the chair, the following sub-committees were appointed:—Finance: President, vicepresident, treasurer, and Mr. L. J. Maule; billiards and club: Messrs. H. W. Cave, P. Barcham, A. Gorton, H. E. Browne; social: Messrs. H. T. Marshall, Colonel H. Avery, R. H. Nimmo, H. Stepheuson, P. Barcham; publicity and membership: Messrs. H. T. Marshall, Colonel Avcry, R. H. Nimmo, L. J. Maule, and A. Gorton. It was announced tTiat Mr. W. Wallace Lindsay had generously offered a billiards cup for competition. The secretary's report showed that the work of the association was still increasing. In the month of July 305 interviews were given, 77 patients at Porirua Hospital visited twice, 46 pension cases dealt with, 42 cases for the War Relief Association, temporary and permanent work found for 58 men, and 30 patients at Wellington Hospital had been visited on eight occasions.
