TO-MORROW'S HOCKEY
WELLINGTON v. WAIRARAPA.
Hockey enthusiasts will be ' provided with a first-class exhibition of the game to-morrow afternoon in the meeting of the Wellington and Wairarapa senior representatives at the Basin lleserve. Although the last time Wairarapa came to Wellington they were defeated by a fair margin, it is expected tiiat to-morrow's game will bo more evenly contested, and there> are many Wairarapa supporters' who are sanguine for the success of their side. The local side includes a number of the players who met the Indians in the memorable match on 3rd June, and skilful stickwork and dashing play Bhould be features of the game. The curtain-raiser at 1.30 p.m. will be provided by the Nelson and Wellington Y.M.C.A.'s. After the game the Nelson players will be ' entertained at the V.M.C.A., and the Wairarapa team will bo tendered a dinner at Dustin's. In tho evening they will be the guests of the Fuller management at His Majesty's Theatre. Mr. P. J. Atkinson is manager of the Wellington team, members of which are requested to be at the Basin Reserve at 2.30 p.m.
THE WELLINGTON TEAM,
The Wellington team to meet Wairarapa at the Basin Reserve to-morrow afternoon will be: Goal, Brennan; full-backs, Hull and Spiers; halves, Crawford, Perrin (captain), Thorpe; forwards, Dee, R. Lusty (vice-captain), Mac Donald, Knowles, W. flood. Emergencies, F. Lusty, Joblin, O'Callaghan, Smith, Roberts. M'Leod is not available, and has been replaced by Crawford. Freethy, centre-forward, has been replaced by Mac Donald ('Varsity).
