ACCOUNTANTS' EXAMINATIONS

At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, held in Chfistchurch this week, Mr. A. M. Seaman (Aucldand) was -elected president and Mr._ James Hogg (Dunedin) vice-president. The. society resolved to recommend to members that the regulations of the society be amended and that after ]920 the accountants' preliminary examination bo discontinued and the matriculation examination be the only examination recognised as the preliminary examination required of candidates for membership.
